The Genetic Anarchists
The Genetic-Anarchists have no exact agenda. The small group which constitutes this secret organisation is made up of idiosyncratic, eccentric and plain insane scientists, doctors and failed students. They all have some level of bio-engineering training and skill or medical expertise. They do not believe in the authority of the Ministorum (though they pay it lips service), though all believe in the Emperor in some way.
They call themselves the Genetic-Liberators and are interested in genetic experimentation. Mutants and aliens are of special interest and they will snatch people from the streets to use as studies (if they have interesting enough deformities...). The Genetic-Anarchists feel that the Ministorum's strict policy of "conform or die" is wrong and that humanity can only flourish through diversity. The Genetic-Anarchists are interested in human de/evolution and liberation via the process and progress of genetic manipulation.
Dr Frerich Schwartzer

Educated in Upper Hive Primus by a tutor and personal interactive medical systems, Schwartzer has been accumstomed to the rich and easy life until he started experimenting with basic genetic codes and algorithms. He was discovered and denounced and had to flee the Arbites as far as he dared go. He ended up in this hell-hole in Lower Hive Primus.
Schwartzer thinks that he has isolated the basic genetic codes that determine aging. As a mortophobe Schwartzer is concerned about his immanent death and the need to stave it off at all costs. He would pay a lot to examine Eldar genetics. Scwartzer also has indepth knowledge in cloning techniques and has several cloned organs (including flesh) to use as transplants for himself, or others (so long as the right price is paid). He cannot implant them himself however. Schwartzer feeds from cloned flesh grown in his petri-dishes. He wants to sell this idea to the Ministorum, considering it better than Block. Needless to say, he has a large price on his head.
Varus Czevak
Czevak is a highly intelligent medical student - gone wrong. Czevak is interested in experiment for experiment's sake, a dangerous notion in the eyes of the Ministorum. He is presently searching for a way to infect genetic codes with a "random element" and create humans which will be born deviant. This is due to his belief that everyone should be different in order to survive the variety of environments humans are faced with.
Czevak believes diversity not conformity is the Emperor's wish an that He Himself is a deviant. One genetic type would mean that humans would be easier to destroy. Importantly, Czevak is a humanist and philanthropist (philosophies never heard of in the Hive except to the most richly educated) and he doesn't like killing people. Everyone else reagrds this as utterly insane and stupid.
Dr Raevan Solon

Solon is insane. He is trying to understand how psychic awarness occurs. He may have recently isolated the gene-code that enables this ability. Solon works closely with Lanate and is confident that he can unleash psychic potential in a growing foetus, given the correct equipment and allowances. This is his "Psi-Gene Project" (PGP). Lanate is dubious about his findings, but if they are correct, they will have massive implications.
However, Solon is dying of cancer. Time is of the essence. He is hoping to replace the affected areas with bionic replacements, but does not have enough money. As an off-worlder, he also finds bionics repulsive and doesnot want to loose the degree of tactile sensation that results in replacement. He does not want to die either. Solon's madness leads him to raving fits and hallucinations. He is unpredictable and has violent mood swings. His insanity gets worse the closer he gets to the truth. He is capable of extreme violence.
Genetor-Priest Lanate of the Adeptus Mechanicus
Lanate is on the run.
Ever since he fled Mars, bounty-hunters have been tailing him. It is only a matter of time... Urgency and impatience characterise Lanate like an aura. Secrecy of his identity and location are all-important to the others. This man knows things about Bio-Tech that would blast men like Czevak and Schwartzer altogether.
Lanate's specialisation was the study of the Tyranid genetic structure. He was amazed and awed by its complexity and adaptability. Despite his indoctrination, Lanate came to believe that the Tyranids are a superior race and humanity's only hope against the encroachment of Chaos. Huamnity must be absorbed into the Tyranid Hive-Mind and Bio-Collective. Lanate has several Tyranid genes and is working on growing them. He seems to have been successful. Presently he and each of the other Genetic-Anarchists tend to one or two growing Tyranid zygotes in ex-vitro tubes (articfical wombs). They are finding them extremely easy to grow.... (It is entirely up to the GM which Tyranid/s these specimens are.)
Lanate met Solon and Czevak off-wolrd during his years long escape to Necromunda. Captured by his vision and knowledge the two joined him and fled to relative, anonymous safety in the depths of the Hive.
The Genetic-Anarchists need vatrious chemicals for their experiments and surgical equpiment. Czevak also needs raioactive material. They may strike deals with gangs and pay them money to get these things for them. THe gangs may unwittingly be aiding their Heretical work.
And in the meantime, the quickly growing zygoates may mature... and escape....
